Delete your Shellog account

Delete in the app

If you signed in to Shellog with Apple, Google or Kakao, you can delete your account in the app.

1. Open Shellog and tap “More” in the tab bar.
2. Tap “Settings”.
3. Under “Account”, tap “Delete account”.
4. Read the note that appears, then tap “Delete account” again to confirm.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. “Delete account” appears only while you are signed in. If your sign-in has expired, sign in again the same way, then delete.

Request by email

If you can’t use the app (for example, you have already deleted it), email tribalance@bodybalancer.app from the email address you signed in with and ask us to delete your Shellog account. If you chose to hide your email with Sign in with Apple, include the address shown under Settings → Account in the app (the relay address Apple created). We confirm that the request matches the account’s email address and delete the account without undue delay.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in on the device (the sign-in token is removed)
• If you signed in with Kakao: the record pairing your Kakao member number with your email
• If you also had a BodyBalancer account with the same email (from the earlier BodyBalancer app or My Page on this website): that account record and the analysis results saved to it

To delete videos or analysis requests you submitted to the BodyBalancer web service, use the data deletion request page (in Korean).

What is kept

• Records on your phone (check-ins, class progress, progress photos and so on) stay on the device. To remove them, go to Settings → Data → “Clear records on this device” → “Clear everything”, or delete the app. Clearing records also takes you out of your pond.
• Posture photos and analysis results aren’t linked to your account, so deleting your account doesn’t delete them. Photos are deleted automatically 365 days after upload, and results 180 days after they are created. To have them deleted sooner, email us the date and approximate time you took the photos.
• Pond information (your pond name, posture band, plates this week, streak and last active day) is tied to a random identifier on your device, not to your account. It is deleted when you tap “Leave pond” in the Friends tab or clear records on this device.

If you never signed in

There is no account to delete. Your records are on your device, and you can remove them with Settings → Data → “Clear records on this device”. Posture photos, analysis results and pond information are handled as described above.

How long it takes

• In the app: right away
• By email: without undue delay, after we confirm that the request matches the account’s email address
